NCC Group Commander, visits various Government Colleges in and around Srinagar

Srinagar: Brig Deepak Sajjanhar, SM, Group Commander NCC Group, Srinagar along with Colonel Saurabh Saxena, Commanding Officer, 1 J&K Bn NCC, Srinagar visited Shaheed Himayun Muzzamil Memorial Government Degree College Anantnag, Government Degree College Bijbehara and Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar wherein they were received by their Principals Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, Prof Yasmeen Bashir and Dr Gulam Jeelani and by their respective ANOs. Group Commander interacted with cadets and encouraged them to identify their talents, enhance their potential and thereby participate in centrally organized camps like Republic Day Parade, Special National Integration Camp, Thal Sainik Camp and other NCC activities. Group Commander also appreciated their hard work, past performance and results secured by their cadets in Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2024 and 2025. 

The Group Commander emphasized for timely enrolment, correct refreshment allowances claims, increasing registration for Alumini Association and improving the training infrastructure such as construction of an obstacle course and firing range by the NCC battalion in the college premises also procurement of training charts and dummy weapons for cadets by NCC Battalion to enhance the potential of cadets of the region. Colonel Saurabh Saxena, Commanding Officer, 1 J&K Bn NCC, Srinagar also encouraged all cadets to participate in unit Combined Annual Training Camp commencing from 17 May to 26 May 2025 to get trained for Directorate Pre Republic Day Camp.
