New Delhi: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Thursday authorised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president J.P. Nadda to select the ruling bloc’s vice-presidential candidate, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju announced.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rijiju stated that the decision was taken unanimously during a meeting of senior BJP leaders and allies held at the Parliament complex.
The meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president J.P. Nadda, JD(U)’s Lalan Singh, Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Shinde, TDP’s Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan, among others.
