Srinagar: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Saturday reviewed the security situation and counter-infiltration operations along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir.
A statement by the Northern Command on X said, “Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, #ArmyCdrNC, assessed the security scenario and counter-infiltration grid in north Kashmir. During his visit, he observed a battle enabler display and praised all ranks for their innovation and adoption of advanced technologies to tackle contemporary threats.”
The statement added, “He also witnessed an innovation showcase highlighting the creativity of the troops and urged all personnel to remain resolute and continue serving with dedication.”
Lt Gen Sharma felicitated personnel from the Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police for their role in Operation Guddar, which led to the neutralisation of two hardcore terrorists, including a Pakistani national, in Kulgam district earlier this month.
On Friday, he had visited the Army’s counter-insurgency forces in south Kashmir to review the security situation there.
