Bengaluru: Ola Electric unveiled a range of next-generation products and technology upgrades at its Sankalp 2025 event, held on the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day.

The company showcased the indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell, the country’s first rare-earth-free Ferrite Motor, the AI-powered MoveOS 6 operating system, and the Gen 4 Platform—a lighter, faster, and scalable architecture designed for two-, three-, and four-wheelers, as well as drones and humanoid robots. All of these, founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal emphasised, were “imagined, engineered, and built in India” to strengthen the nation’s energy sovereignty and global leadership in the EV sector.

In a futuristic highlight, Ola presented the Diamondhead electric motorcycle prototype. Describing it as “a step towards singularity—where man and machine merge,” Aggarwal revealed plans to launch it in 2027 at a target price below ₹5 lakh.

The event also featured the S1 Pro Sport scooter, equipped with sports-focused upgrades including gas-charged rear suspension, retuned front forks, carbon fibre accents, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Deliveries are expected to begin by January 2026.

Additionally, Ola announced that its 4680 Bharat Cell will be integrated into the Roadster X+ and S1 Pro+ models, with deliveries slated for Navratri this year.

Aggarwal described Sankalp 2025 as a showcase of products “built with excellence, powered by vertical integration, and created entirely in India,” reinforcing the company’s goal of complete supply chain sovereignty.

India aims for 30% electric vehicle penetration by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070—a vision Ola says it is committed to driving forward.
