Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has sanctioned ₹30.14 crore for the welfare of construction workers across Jammu and Kashmir. The funds are aimed at supporting various schemes designed to improve the living and working conditions of workers in the construction sector.
The allocation will be used to provide benefits such as health coverage, financial assistance, skill development programs, and safety measures for workers engaged in construction activities. The CM emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring social security and well-being for this vital segment of the workforce.
Omar Abdullah directed officials to ensure the timely implementation of welfare schemes and proper utilization of the allocated funds. He stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in disbursing benefits, highlighting the administration’s focus on empowering workers and improving their quality of life.
