Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday called for complete clarity and transparency regarding the Nowgam Police Station blast, stating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir “deserve answers, not confusion.”
Expressing deep concern over the incident, Omar Abdullah said that conflicting narratives and delays in establishing facts were causing further distress among the affected families and the general public. He urged the administration and investigating agencies to come forward with a clear and factual account of what led to the tragic explosion.
“The loss of precious lives in the Nowgam blast is heartbreaking. At the very least, the families and the people must be told what exactly happened and why,” he said, stressing the importance of accountability and timely communication.
The Chief Minister also reiterated his support for a thorough and impartial investigation, adding that transparency is essential to maintain public trust and ensure such incidents are not repeated.
He extended condolences to the families of the victims and urged authorities to provide all necessary assistance to the injured and the bereaved.
