Jammu : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday unveiled the official logo of the Jammu Marathon, formally announcing the launch of the sporting event scheduled to be held on March 29. The unveiling marked an important step in the preparations for the marathon, which is expected to draw wide participation.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the Jammu Marathon would serve as a strong platform to promote fitness, healthy lifestyles and a sporting culture among people of all age groups. He noted that such events not only encourage physical activity but also foster a sense of unity and community spirit.
Omar Abdullah highlighted that the marathon would also help project Jammu as an emerging hub for sports and recreational activities. He expressed confidence that the event would attract runners and fitness enthusiasts from across Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country.
