Pattan: One person was killed and three others injured in a road accident on the National Highway near Khambiyar crossing in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.
According to sources, the accident occurred when a motorcycle (JK04J-0974) collided with a Chota Hathi vehicle (JK04G-7249), leaving four people critically injured. Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to CHC Pattan, where doctors declared one of them dead on arrival.
The remaining three injured were later referred to a Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.
Officials identified the deceased as Arsalan Ahmad Shah, son of Habibullah Shah, a resident of Wusaan Khoie Pattan. The injured were identified as Umer Rashid, son of Ab. Rashid of Check Sari Pattan; Ayan Ahmad, son of Ab. Majeed Khan of Check Sari; and Hafiz Iqbal, a resident of Delhi.
Meanwhile, Pattan Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
