OnePlus 15 Launch Approaches, Teasers Reveal Key Design Changes
The launch of the OnePlus 15 is drawing near, and the company appears set to skip the “14” designation this year. Early teasers suggest a significant redesign, and recent leaks provide a closer look at the phone’s rear panel.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to feature a square camera module, a departure from recent designs, with a flatter frame reminiscent of the OnePlus 9 and 10 series rather than the 12 or 13 models.
OnePlus 15 Design Teaser: What We Know
A recent teaser surfaced during an e-sports event in China, where gamers captured a selfie with what appears to be the upcoming OnePlus device. Posted on Chinese platform Weibo, the image highlights the new, larger camera island—significantly bigger than the OnePlus 13 series—housing larger camera sensors that occupy a notable portion of the back panel.
OnePlus 15 Launch Expectations
The device is rumored to reuse silicon carbon technology, potentially supporting a 7,000mAh (or higher) battery. Reports also suggest a more durable build, possibly stronger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Perhaps the most notable update is the camera system. After parting ways with Hasselblad, OnePlus is reportedly developing its own in-house camera engine, which could address the brand’s longstanding camera shortcomings.
With these updates, the OnePlus 15 reflects the company’s push toward a more premium positioning. A China launch could happen in the coming weeks, with India expected to follow, likely in early 2026.
