Ghaziabad: Indian Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, hailed Operation Sindoor as a remarkable demonstration of what can be achieved through meticulous planning, disciplined training, and determined execution. Addressing air warriors during the 93rd Air Force Day celebrations at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad on Wednesday, he lauded the professionalism and precision of the IAF.
Highlighting India’s self-reliance in defence, the IAF Chief said that the outstanding performance of indigenously developed and integrated weapons—delivering precise and devastating strikes deep inside enemy territory—was a testament to the nation’s growing technological strength.
“Operation Sindoor is a shining example of what can be achieved through meticulous planning, disciplined training, and determined execution,” he stated.
Recalling the success of Operation Sindoor and the IAF’s air strikes on terror bases in Pakistan, Air Chief Marshal Singh said the operation filled the force with immense pride and reaffirmed the decisive impact of air power in shaping military outcomes within days.
“India’s bold and precise attacks restored the rightful place of offensive air action in the national consciousness,” he added.
Paying tribute to generations of air warriors, he noted that the IAF has made history in every era—from 1948, 1971, and 1999, to the Balakot airstrikes and now Operation Sindoor.
“We are not only the protectors of the skies but also the guardians of the nation’s honour,” he remarked.
He further spoke about the successful integration of new systems, weapons, and technologies into the Air Force’s operational plans, emphasizing that a growing culture of accountability, safety, and leadership has reduced incidents and accidents.
“At all levels, leaders are leading from the front, ensuring that every individual is trained, motivated, and empowered,” he said.
The IAF Chief also commended the force’s humanitarian role during Operation Sindhu, carried out on June 18 to evacuate Indian citizens from conflict zones in Iran and Israel.
“The compassion, speed, and reliability with which the IAF delivered hope under hazardous conditions embody the highest ideals of service before self,” he noted.
The 93rd Air Force Day celebrations featured a grand parade showcasing the IAF’s operational and technological might. Fighter jets like Rafale, Sukhoi Su-30MKI, and MiG-29 took to the skies, accompanied by the indigenous Netra AEW&C, C-17 Globemaster III, Akash Surface-to-Air Missile System, C-130J Hercules, Apache attack helicopters, and the Advanced Light Helicopter.
Earlier, the Chief of Defence Staff, along with the chiefs of the Air Force, Army, and Navy, laid wreaths at the National War Memorial. The event reflected the IAF’s evolving strength, technological innovation, and commitment to both national defence and humanitarian missions.
