Outreach Program On “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” At Garhi, Rajouri

Indian Army conducting a lecture on “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”. The outreach programme was aimed to raise awareness about the major problem that illicit drugs represent to society and strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse.

The outreach programme provided valuable insights to promote action by governments, Army, organisations, and individuals to prevent drug abuse. The outreach programme was a step towards government initiative of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhigyan” Aimed at spreading awareness about drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the rural areas, schools and remote location of the country.

The event saw active participation from 35 villagers, including ESMs, teachers, and community members. The initiative strengthen the bond between the Army and the local community while promoting actions by governments, Army, organisations, and individuals to prevent drug abuse.
