Leh: Over 100 members of a film crew were hospitalised in Leh following a suspected case of food poisoning, officials said on Monday, adding that all are now stable.

The patients, brought to SNM Hospital late Sunday, had complained of severe abdominal pain, headaches, and vomiting. They were part of a 600-member crew shooting for an upcoming Bollywood film, none of whom were locals.

“Food samples have been collected for detailed analysis,” an official said.

A hospital doctor confirmed it was a case of food poisoning. “We immediately mobilised staff from all departments to handle the rush. Police were also called in to manage the panic in the overcrowded emergency ward,” the doctor added.

Most patients have since been discharged after treatment, the hospital confirmed.
