Deir al-Balah (Gaza Strip): At least 60 people, including numerous children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza overnight, local hospital officials reported on Wednesday.

The strikes followed an order from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the military to carry out “powerful strikes” in response to what he said was Hamas’ violation of a fragile ceasefire.

According to the Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, 10 bodies — including three women and six children — were brought in after two airstrikes in the area. In southern Gaza, Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis reported receiving 20 bodies following five strikes, among them 13 children and two women.

Meanwhile, Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza said it had received 30 bodies, including 14 children, after a series of overnight attacks.
