Hyderabad (Telangana): The much-awaited first song from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film Peddi has finally been released, adding to the growing excitement surrounding the movie.
Titled “Chikiri Chikiri,” the track was unveiled on Friday — just a day after Ram Charan shared a poster and teaser video that hinted at the energetic vibe of the song.
Composed by A.R. Rahman, the peppy number blends his signature musical brilliance with Ram Charan’s dynamic dance moves. Fans have already flooded social media with praise for the song’s melody and visuals, calling it a perfect mix of rhythm, energy, and style.
In the music video, Ram Charan steals the spotlight with his stylish long-haired look and impressive hook step — the same one he teased earlier this week. His effortless performance and charisma have left fans eagerly replaying the track.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is described as a rustic emotional drama and is expected to showcase one of Ram Charan’s most intense performances yet. The film has been generating massive buzz ever since its announcement, thanks to its stellar cast and Rahman’s musical touch.
Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor’s first-look posters were revealed, introducing her character Achiyyamma — a strong, fearless woman. In one poster, Janhvi appears in a simple saree with a serene expression, while another shows her confidently standing atop a jeep, waving to a cheering crowd.
Sharing the posters, Janhvi wrote: “#Peddi’s love with a firebrand attitude. #Achiyyamma.”
Previously, a teaser titled Peddi First Shot was released on Ram Navami, featuring Ram Charan in a rugged avatar, lighting a beedi, and declaring: “I have only one life to live, and I want to make the most of it.”
Along with Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, Peddi is set to hit theatres on March 27, 2026.
