New Delhi, Nov 28: Delhi Police has arrested Bandhu Man Singh, a suspected gangster allegedly involved in the firing at comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Canada earlier this year. Officials said Singh is a close associate of Canada-based gangster Goldy Dhillon, who is linked to multiple extortion rackets targeting businessmen and high-profile individuals abroad.

Police sources confirmed that Singh provided logistical support to the shooters, including arranging a vehicle and safe parking after the incident. A Chinese-made pistol and several cartridges were recovered from his possession at the time of arrest.

The firing at Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Café in Surrey, Canada, was described as an act of intimidation. Investigators said Singh had been coordinating with Dhillon’s overseas network and was part of a broader conspiracy. His role in the case and connections with other operatives remain under investigation.

Officials emphasized that further inquiries are underway to determine the gang’s activities in India and abroad. The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the probe into the attack on the popular artist’s restaurant.
