Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a three-nation visit to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman as part of India’s ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and expand strategic cooperation with key partners in West Asia and Africa.

The visit will include high-level meetings with the leadership of all three countries, where discussions are expected to focus on trade, investment, defence cooperation, energy security, technology partnerships and people-to-people exchanges. The trip is also aimed at deepening India’s engagement with regions that hold growing geopolitical and economic significance.

In Jordan, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold talks on regional stability, counterterrorism cooperation and opportunities for expanding economic collaboration. India and Jordan share longstanding ties, with cooperation spanning education, culture, defence and capacity-building.

During his stop in Ethiopia, the Prime Minister will engage with the country’s leadership to explore new avenues in agriculture, digital technology, healthcare, infrastructure development and skill enhancement. Ethiopia is one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies and an important partner for India in the African Union framework.

The final leg of the visit will take the Prime Minister to Oman, a key strategic partner in the Gulf region. Discussions are expected to cover maritime cooperation, energy partnerships, trade expansion and the welfare of the large Indian community living in Oman.

The three-nation tour underscores India’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships and enhancing its diplomatic outreach across regions of strategic importance.
