New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the government is preparing the next phase of the India Semiconductor Mission along with a new Design-Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme.
In his inaugural address at Semicon India 2025, Modi underlined the importance of critical minerals as the foundation of digital infrastructure, noting that India has already launched the Critical Minerals Mission to meet the rising demand for rare earth resources.
“We are working on the next phase of the India Semiconductor Mission,” he said, adding that the day is not far when the smallest chip designed in India will power the biggest global transformations.
“The government will soon roll out the new DLI scheme,” Modi announced.
