New Delhi: India-China relations have steadily progressed over the past 10 months, guided by mutual respect for each other’s interests and sensitivities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday.
Modi made the remarks in a social media post following his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The Prime Minister also recalled his discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of a multilateral event in Kazan, Russia, last October.
“Glad to meet Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Since my meeting with President Xi in Kazan last year, India-China relations have made steady progress, guided by respect for each other’s interests and sensitivities,” Modi said.
He added, “I look forward to our next meeting in Tianjin during the SCO Summit. Stable, predictable, and constructive ties between India and China will contribute significantly to regional and global peace and prosperity.”
