GAYA (BIHAR): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a sharp attack on the RJD and the Congress, alleging that the two parties oppose the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill because many of their leaders are either behind bars or out on bail.

The Bill seeks the removal of the Prime Minister, chief ministers, and ministers if they are arrested or detained for more than 30 days on serious charges.

Addressing a rally in Gaya after inaugurating several development projects, PM Modi accused the RJD and its allies of treating the people of Bihar merely as a vote bank, saying everyone knows that RJD leaders were involved in corruption.
“No major project was ever completed in Bihar during the RJD-Congress regimes. They never cared for people’s welfare and only focused on filling their own coffers,” he said.

On illegal immigration, the Prime Minister claimed that the demography in Bihar’s border districts was changing rapidly and accused the opposition parties of backing infiltrators.
“We will not let infiltrators snatch away the rights of Bihar’s people. RJD and Congress are indulging in appeasement politics by supporting them. The people of Bihar must remain alert against such parties,” he warned.

Highlighting development initiatives, Modi said the projects launched in Bihar will generate employment for the state’s youth. He added that 16,000 pucca houses were handed over in the Magadh region on the same day, reaffirming his government’s commitment to ensuring housing for every poor family in India.

He also stressed the NDA government’s focus on strengthening Bihar’s railway infrastructure.

Speaking on Operation Sindoor, Modi recalled that after terrorists killed Indian citizens in Pahalgam, he had fulfilled the promise he made in Bihar to avenge the attack.
