NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his message on the occasion of World Mental Health Day on Friday, urged people to foster an environment where discussions on mental health are normalised and more widely accepted.
“The World Mental Health Day serves as a powerful reminder that mental health is an integral part of our overall well-being,” the Prime Minister wrote on X.
“In today’s fast-paced world, this day highlights the need to pause, reflect, and show compassion towards others,” he added.
PM Modi further emphasized the importance of collective efforts to make mental health conversations mainstream, extending his appreciation to those dedicated to helping others heal and find happiness.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the primary aim of World Mental Health Day is to raise global awareness about mental health issues and to encourage efforts that support mental well-being.
