Anantnag Police Issues Advisory on Drone Usage

Anantnag: The District Police of Anantnag on Saturday issued a public advisory banning the operation of drones, UAVs, or any other aerial devices within the district without prior approval from the competent authorities, citing prevailing security concerns.

The advisory, aimed at ensuring public safety, directs individuals, institutions, media personnel, and event organizers to obtain permission well in advance before flying drones.

Authorities warned that any unauthorized use of drones will invite strict action under applicable laws, and the equipment may be confiscated.

The public has been urged to stay alert and report any suspicious drone activity to the nearest police station or through the district helpline numbers: 9419051940 and 01932-2222870.

Police stressed that the cooperation of citizens is crucial for maintaining peace, safety, and security across the district.
