Jammu: Authorities on Wednesday directed police and security agencies to enhance security across Jammu in the run-up to Independence Day, citing heightened threat perceptions, official sources said.
All districts in the region have been instructed to ramp up security measures, with emphasis on increased patrolling, night surveillance, and heightened vigilance along border areas.
Officials stressed the need for thorough security audits of vital installations and public places. They also called for reinforcing the security setup along the border to counter any potential threats.
