Police in Nowshera File Case Over Tenant Verification Violation

Rajouri, December 4 — Police Station Nowshera received reliable information that a house owner had rented out a room to three persons from Kashmir without completing the mandatory tenant verification process with the police. The lapse was found to be in violation of the orders issued by the District Magistrate Rajouri.

The accused has been identified as Mohd Rafiq, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Ward No. 03, Nowshera. He was booked for failing to comply with the verification guidelines.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 183/2025 under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at Police Station Nowshera. Further investigation is underway to ascertain details and ensure accountability.

Authorities have once again advised the general public to strictly adhere to the tenant verification guidelines issued by the District Magistrate Rajouri. Officials cautioned that any non-compliance will invite strict legal action under relevant provisions of law.

The police emphasized that tenant verification is a vital measure for maintaining public safety and urged residents to cooperate fully with enforcement agencies.
