Police Recover Two Bodies from Nallah in Uri

Two bodies were recovered on Saturday from Nallah Haji Peer in the Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, triggering concern among local residents and authorities. The discovery was reported by villagers who immediately alerted the police.

A police team, accompanied by local authorities and rescue personnel, reached the spot and retrieved the bodies from the water. Initial reports suggest that the identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, and the circumstances leading to their death remain unclear.

The bodies have been taken for medico-legal examination, and a case has been registered. Police said that all angles, including possible accidental fall, drowning, or foul play, are being investigated. Further details will emerge after the completion of the post-mortem and identification process.
