POONCH,: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal on Friday chaired a District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) meeting in the DC office to discuss and approve the Scale of Finance (SoF) for various agricultural and allied sector crops including horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries, for the financial year 2025-26.
The meeting discussed different issues and the need for revision of the existing scale of finance for Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, sectors for Kissan Credit Card (KCC) holders of the district
After detailed discussion, the Committee addressed the need for revising the existing Scale of Finance for Kissan Credit Card (KCC) holders in the district. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of achieving the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) targets to maximize benefits for local farmers.
The meeting highlighted the necessity of adopting composite agricultural practices in collaboration with various departments to enhance the economic prosperity of the rural farming community. The introduction of modern technologies, high-quality seeds, and scientific crop management was deemed essential for achieving self-reliance in agriculture.
The meeting was attended by key officials including the Chief Planning Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, LDM and others involved in the agricultural sector.
