Chennai: The makers of director Jayan Nambiar’s much-awaited action entertainer Vilaayath Buddha, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, have announced that the film will release worldwide on November 21.

Prithviraj took to social media to share the news, writing, “#VilaayathBudha in cinemas, November 21st!” In the film, he plays a character named ‘Double Mohan’.

A recently released teaser has further heightened fans’ excitement. It opens with two police officers discussing “Double” — whose real name is Mohan — and how he serves as the key link in the sandalwood smuggling network. One of them even nicknames him “Kutty Veerappan” (Little Veerappan).

The teaser portrays Mohan as a bold and witty character unafraid to challenge authority. When a cop compares him to Pushpa, he quips, “Oh, he is international. I am just local.” It also offers glimpses of his romantic side, with his love interest standing firmly by him. The teaser concludes with Mohan confidently facing off against those more powerful than him, asserting that he has endured enough to command respect.

Produced by Sandip Senan and A. V. Anoop, the film is written by G. R. Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan, and has already created significant buzz among audiences.

On the technical side, Vilaayath Buddha features cinematography by Arvind S. Kashyap and Renadive, music by Jakes Bejoy, and editing by Sreejith Sarang. Jithu Sebastian serves as art director, while the action sequences are choreographed by Rajasekhar, Kalai Kingson, Supreme Sundar, and Mahesh Mathew.
