Doda: Authorities in Doda district on Tuesday imposed prohibitory restrictions under Section 163 of the BNSS, 2023, citing concerns over potential disturbances to peace, law and order, and the likelihood of unlawful gatherings.
According to an order issued by Additional District Magistrate Doda, Anil Kumar Thakur, the assembly of four or more persons has been banned across the district until further notice.
The order also prohibits individuals from delivering provocative speeches, raising inflammatory slogans, or making gestures that could disturb peace and communal harmony. Carrying lathis or sharp-edged weapons in public places has likewise been barred.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, has been directed to strictly enforce these restrictions. Officials cautioned that any violation of the order will attract punitive action under the relevant provisions of law.
