Udhampur: Police Attach Property Worth Over ₹2 Crore Belonging to Alleged Drug Peddler
Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday attached movable and immovable assets valued at over ₹2 crore belonging to an alleged drug peddler in Udhampur district, officials said.
According to a police spokesperson, the properties of the accused, Rafaqat, and his family members in Devika village were attached under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The attached assets include three residential houses, two shops, two cars, and two motorcycles, identified as illegally acquired during the course of investigation against the accused, described as a notorious drug trafficker.
Reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance against narcotics, police said it will continue to take strict action against individuals involved in drug trafficking in the district.
