Putin to Visit India on December 4–5 for Annual Summit

New Delhi, Nov 28: Russian President Vladimir Putin will undertake a two-day state visit to India from December 4 to 5, 2025, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit will mark the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit, a key platform for reviewing bilateral relations and setting the vision for the future of the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.

During the visit, President Putin will hold formal talks with Prime Minister Modi and meet President Droupadi Murmu, who will host a banquet in his honour. The summit will provide an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, while also strengthening cooperation in energy, defence, trade, and technology.

The Ministry of External Affairs said the forthcoming summit will reaffirm the longstanding ties between India and Russia, building on recent high-level engagements. Kremlin officials have described the visit as extremely significant, noting that it is expected to be fruitful in every sense.
