Purnea: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday accused the BJP of planning to “steal votes” in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections and urged the state’s youth to take responsibility for preventing it.
Speaking at a campaign rally, Gandhi alleged that the BJP was “winning elections across the country by manipulating votes.”
“We have shown the world that the BJP and the Election Commission stole the Haryana election. I am certain they will attempt the same in Bihar,” he said, calling on young voters to “protect the Constitution” and remain vigilant at polling booths.
The former Congress president also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of promoting a “system that serves billionaires while leaving the youth unemployed.”
Targeting Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Gandhi charged that his government has reduced the state’s youth to the status of labourers forced to seek work elsewhere.
