Rajouri, Nov 23: Rajouri Administration XI defeated CEO XI in a thrilling match at the Boys Higher Secondary School ground during the Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa Memorial District-Level Cricket Tournament. The tournament, organized under Principal Muslim Wani, has seen enthusiastic participation from teams across all educational zones in the district.

After winning the toss, Rajouri Administration XI opted to bowl first. CEO XI set a target of 140 runs in 12 overs, but the Administration XI chased it successfully in just 10 overs. Dr. Gopal Sharma earned the Man of the Match award for his impressive knock of 66 runs, guiding his team to a convincing victory.

The event was attended by chief guest Prof. Saleem Wani, who spoke about the role of sports in building discipline, confidence, and teamwork among youth. Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, was appreciated for funding improvements to the school ground, enhancing it as a quality venue for sporting events.

District officials, including DIO Ashiq Rafiq Malik, ACD Auqil Naveed, and CAO GMC Ashraf Haqla, praised the organizers for encouraging sportsmanship and providing a platform for young talent to showcase their skills across the district.
