Rajouri, Nov 18: The Director of Horticulture today conducted a comprehensive review of development activities in Rajouri District. The meeting was attended by senior officials, field staff, and representatives of local bodies, who presented updates on ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening the horticulture sector.

During the review, the Director emphasized the importance of timely completion of orchard development schemes, irrigation facilities, and farmer support programs. He directed officials to ensure that benefits under government schemes reach growers effectively and that modern techniques are introduced to enhance productivity and quality.

The Director highlighted the need for greater awareness among farmers about high-density plantation, integrated pest management, and post-harvest practices. He stressed that horticulture has the potential to significantly boost the local economy and create employment opportunities, particularly for youth and women.
