Srinagar: A woman delivered a baby boy on a train traveling from Sumbar to Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir, officials reported on Wednesday.
According to sources, the woman went into labor during the journey and successfully gave birth to a healthy boy.
“The Railway Protection Force team promptly assisted the mother, ensuring she received immediate care. Both mother and baby are safe,” an official stated.
The mother, Akhtara Bano, hails from Sumbar village in Ramban. Medical arrangements were made at Banihal station to provide timely care for both mother and child.
