Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, today attended a workshop organised by the Rashtriya Rifles, focusing on community engagement, youth empowerment, and strengthening civil–security cooperation in the region. The workshop brought together officers, community representatives, and stakeholders to discuss initiatives aimed at fostering peace, development, and social resilience.
During the session, Andrabi appreciated the efforts of the Rashtriya Rifles in conducting outreach programs that encourage collaboration between the security forces and local communities. She highlighted the importance of such platforms in promoting dialogue, understanding community needs, and supporting youth-focused initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir.
She reiterated that development, education, and social harmony remain central to building a peaceful and progressive society. Andrabi also stressed the need for continued engagement between institutions and civil society to address challenges and create opportunities for young people.
Officers of the Rashtriya Rifles briefed participants about ongoing civic welfare programs, capacity-building activities, and measures being undertaken to strengthen bonds with the local population. They expressed gratitude for Andrabi’s participation and her encouragement toward collaborative efforts.
The workshop concluded with a pledge to enhance coordination and expand initiatives aimed at fostering trust, stability, and overall well-being in the region.
