Registrar BGSBU reviews preparations for upcoming NAAC Accreditation

RAJOURI: Registrar Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the University’s preparedness for the upcoming evaluation and accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

In his opening remarks, the Registrar emphasized the strategic importance of the NAAC accreditation process in enhancing the University’s academic reputation, institutional credibility, and overall quality framework. He noted that accreditation is not just a formal requirement but a reflection of the University’s commitment to excellence in teaching, research, community engagement, and governance.

Mr. Sharma underscored the need for accuracy, timeliness, and uniformity in data reporting to ensure transparency and credibility in presenting the University’s achievements. He urged all departments to adopt evidence-based documentation practices and align their efforts with NAAC’s prescribed quality benchmarks.

He also directed departments to strengthen their performance and documentation, particularly in key areas such as research output, student support services, curriculum enrichment, community engagement, and institutional best practices. Highlighting the importance of collaboration and collective effort, the Registrar called on all Heads and Coordinators to work closely with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to meet the set objectives efficiently.

The meeting was attended by Heads and Coordinators of various departments, who assured their full cooperation and proactive participation in ensuring that all NAAC-related activities are completed in a systematic and timely manner.
