RAJOURI: Registrar of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Abhishek Sharma, chaired a detailed review meeting with Heads of Teaching Departments and Administrative Officers to assess academic activities, admissions, examinations, hostel facilities, and the progress of developmental projects.
During the meeting, the Registrar reviewed the implementation of NEP-2020 and instructed concerned officers to ensure adequate classrooms, furniture, and other essential amenities for newly established departments to facilitate smooth academic operations.
On hostel facilities, he emphasized providing the best possible amenities to resident students and directed officials to fast-track ongoing repair and renovation works, ensuring timely completion.
Stressing efficiency and student support, Sharma instructed the issuance of identity cards to all students, faculty, and staff within a week. He also reviewed the admission process, urging departments to conclude it strictly within the notified timelines.
Highlighting the need for modern academic infrastructure, the Registrar directed the creation of a centralized computing facility for students across departments and emphasized the digitization of records, to be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
Aligning with the Government of India’s vision of community engagement, he encouraged departments to adopt nearby villages for outreach activities, strengthening the University’s role in inclusive and sustainable development.
Abhishek Sharma reaffirmed the University’s commitment to providing quality education, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting holistic student growth in line with NEP-2020.
