Kulgam: A single-storey residential house was completely destroyed in a massive fire at Cheyan area of Devsar in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
According to officials, the house belonged to Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, son of Mohd Jabar Shah. The blaze erupted early in the morning and rapidly engulfed the structure before locals and Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) teams arrived to control it.
“Firefighting efforts are still underway,” an official said, adding that the cause of the incident is being investigated. Fortunately, no injuries or loss of life have been reported.
