Doda: Restrictions on Gatherings Continue; Schools to Reopen Monday
Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, on Saturday stated that restrictions on public gatherings remain in force across the district, while schools are set to reopen from Monday after safety inspections.
Addressing the media, DC Singh said, “Restrictions under Section 163, which limit assembly to no more than five to six persons, are still in place throughout the district. People have been advised to step out only for essential needs and avoid unnecessary gatherings.”
Regarding schools, he added, “Following heavy rains that caused significant damage, inspections are being conducted in all educational institutions. These will be completed by tomorrow evening, ensuring children can safely return to school from Monday.”
DC Singh also warned against misinformation. “We have received reports of fake news being circulated. I urge everyone, especially parents, to guide children not to pay attention to such reports. Doda remains peaceful, and residents have cooperated fully. It is important to remain vigilant against false narratives,” he said.
