Rohit equaled Afridi’s tally of 351 sixes with back-to-back hits against spinner Prenelan Subrayen in the 15th over, before smashing his 352nd six off pacer Marco Jansen to claim the record outright. Afridi’s record had stood unchallenged for nearly 15 years.

With this achievement, Rohit now has 352 sixes in ODIs, in addition to his record tally of 205 sixes in T20 Internationals and 88 sixes in Tests, bringing his overall international six count to an unprecedented 642.

The milestone further cements Rohit Sharma’s reputation as one of the greatest power-hitters in modern cricket. His record-breaking feat adds to his illustrious career, which already includes multiple double centuries in ODIs and leadership of the Indian team across formats.
