LUCKNOW, Nov 20: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has launched what it describes as the world’s largest mass outreach campaign, aimed at expanding public engagement and strengthening community-level interaction across the country. The initiative was formally rolled out today with participation from senior RSS functionaries, volunteers, and representatives from affiliated organisations.
According to the organisers, the outreach drive will involve extensive door-to-door visits, local meetings, and interactive sessions designed to connect with citizens from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Volunteers will engage with households to share information about the organisation’s activities, gather feedback from communities, and promote greater civic participation.
RSS leaders stated that the campaign seeks to deepen the organisation’s presence at the grassroots level and foster dialogue on issues related to social harmony, national unity, and community welfare. They highlighted that millions of volunteers from various regions will take part in the initiative, making it the largest coordinated contact programme ever undertaken by the organisation.
As part of the campaign, volunteers will also collect suggestions from citizens on ways to strengthen social cohesion and improve local development. The organisation plans to consolidate these inputs into broader recommendations for future community-oriented programmes.
Senior RSS functionaries emphasized that the outreach drive is intended to build trust, encourage participation, and reinforce long-standing efforts to promote service, cultural awareness, and national integration. They noted that the campaign reflects the organisation’s commitment to working closely with citizens and addressing challenges at the neighbourhood level.
The launch event concluded with calls for widespread public participation and cooperation. Organisers expressed confidence that the campaign would enhance mutual understanding and strengthen the RSS’s engagement with communities across the country.
