Sajjad Shaheen on Monday condemned attempts to communalise the admissions process at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME), stressing that selection must be based solely on merit. He said any interference based on religion or community is completely unacceptable and undermines the integrity of the institution.
Shaheen emphasised that SMVDIME follows transparent admission guidelines and that all eligible candidates should have equal opportunities regardless of their background. He urged authorities to ensure that the admission process remains fair, unbiased, and strictly merit-driven.
He also appealed to students, parents, and the public to rely on verified information and avoid creating communal divisions, adding that efforts to politicise or communalise academic processes are detrimental to education and social harmony.
