Sakeena Itoo Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Quality Education
KULGAM: Minister for Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo, today addressed the Annual Day function of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nehama.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister reiterated the government’s firm commitment to ensuring quality education and upgrading infrastructure and facilities in educational institutions across the region.
She underscored the importance of holistic development, urging students to excel not only in academics but also in sports and extracurricular activities. “Teachers and the Education Department play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our society,” she remarked.
Highlighting various initiatives of the government, the Minister said that concerted efforts are being made to strengthen the education system and provide every child with equitable access to quality learning and a supportive academic environment.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and parents and featured a series of cultural performances and presentations showcasing the school’s achievements.
Director General Education, Dr. G.N. Itoo, along with officers of the district administration, also attended the function.
