Sakeena Itoo Holds Public Darbar at K.B. Pora, Inaugurates Analyser at PHC
KULGAM: Minister for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today visited K.B. Pora in Kulgam, where she convened a massive Public Darbar to listen to people’s grievances and review developmental needs.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister underscored the importance of responsive governance, noting that the Chief Minister has established the Raabta Public Outreach Office to ensure people’s concerns are addressed promptly.
“Our priority is to provide every citizen with access to quality healthcare and basic amenities. Today’s Public Darbar reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and quick redressal of public issues,” she said.
Sakeena Itoo added that the government is focused on equitable development across all areas, including K.B. Pora, stressing improved infrastructure, youth employment, and effective implementation of welfare schemes.
Locals raised demands including upgradation of the K.B. Pora–Hawkwass road, establishment of a J&K Bank branch and ATM, staff strengthening in schools and health centres, construction of a marriage hall, public park, playground, and a library.
The Minister assured the public that their genuine issues would be addressed at the earliest and directed officials to conduct regular field visits to monitor services in remote areas.
Earlier, the Minister also visited the Primary Health Centre (PHC) K.B. Pora, where she dedicated a newly installed Analyser machine for public use.
