KULGAM, SEPTEMBER: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today visited Devsar, Kulgam, to inaugurate the newly constructed Primary Health Centre (PHC). MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad, senior officers from the district administration and health department, along with a large number of local residents, were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the new PHC will provide accessible, quality healthcare services to the local population, significantly improving medical facilities in the area. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding health infrastructure in rural and remote regions, ensuring that no citizen is deprived of essential healthcare.
Highlighting key initiatives launched by the government in the health sector, she urged health staff to serve the people with dedication and compassion. She also emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the administration remains committed to transparency, accountability, and a pro-people approach while promoting holistic development across Jammu and Kashmir.
MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad, welcomed the new PHC, noting that it will greatly enhance healthcare services in the area. He pledged continued efforts for the overall development of the region and requested the Minister to consider upgrading local hospitals and schools.
Later, Minister Itoo interacted with residents to understand their development-related concerns and assured them that genuine issues would be addressed promptly.
