Assures Immediate and Long-Term Support for Fire-Affected Families
KULGAM: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, visited the Langkhull Nandimarg area of Kulgam district today to meet fire-affected families and distribute relief cheques.
During her visit, the Minister interacted with the victims, expressed solidarity, and assured them of full government support. She personally handed over relief cheques as an immediate measure of assistance.
Minister Itoo stressed that the administration has been instructed to ensure swift rehabilitation and timely relief, enabling affected families to rebuild their lives as quickly as possible. She also highlighted that both short-term and long-term support would be provided, including assistance through various government schemes.
Reiterating that the welfare of citizens, particularly those impacted by sudden disasters, is a top priority of the Omar Abdullah-led government, the Minister directed officials to expedite damage assessments and ensure that no affected household is left without aid.
