SAMBA: Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh, police has achieved yet another success by arresting 10 miscreants for committing physical assault on women thereby solving five cases in Samba district.
The arrested miscreants have been identified as Ravi Kumar alias Raju son of Som Nath, Shubam Sharma alias Sathi, son of Sardar Lal, Rakesh Kumar alias Nikka, son of Som Nath, Pawan Kumar, son of Som Nath all are residents of Patli Morh, tehsil Bari Brahmana, district Samba, Suresh Kumar, son of Bodh Raj of Rajpura, Sanjeev Kumar, son of Mahesh Kumar of Rajpura, Tara Chand, son of Ayoudha Ram, Anil Choudhary, son of Tara Chand. Both residents of H. No 52 Ward No. 08 Tanda, tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba, Rajesh Kumar Sharma and Dinesh Kumar both sons of Girdhari Lal of Mautlian Kalan Purmandal of Samba district.
While six miscreants have been arrested by a team of Bari Brahmana Police Station led by SHO Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma, two have been arrested by Purmandal Police Station party led by SHO Vijay Verma under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar and two have been arrested by PP Rajpura police party led by SI, Hardev Singh Salathia under the supervision of SHO PS Samba, Rajeshwar Singh and DySP, Garu Ram.
Five cases have been solved. Case FIR No 149/2023 u/s 341/323/354/382/504/506 IPC P/S Bari Brahmana, case FIR No. 146/2023 u/s 341/323/504/506 IPC P/S Bari Brahmana, case FIR No. 66/2023 u/s 341/323 IPC P/S Samba, case FIR No. 67/2023 u/s 341/323 IPC P/S Samba and case FIR No 09/2023 u/s 451/323 IPC P/S Purmandal.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Benam Tosh said that police is taking stern legal action to eradicate crime against women and peace loving people in Samba district and directions have been issued to all SDPOs, SHOs and I/C PPs to ensure that nobody dares to commit violence /crime against women and peace loving people anywhere in Samba district. Moreover, no accused involved in crime against women and peace loving people should go scot-free.
