New Delhi: Bollywood siblings Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan stole the spotlight as showstoppers for designer Abhinav Mishra, turning the runway into a dazzling display of couture in the capital.
For his latest collection, The Shrine, which paid tribute to carved pillars, mirrored walls, and fading frescoes, Mishra was joined by the siblings, whose playful camaraderie added a refreshing spark that captured everyone’s attention.
Ibrahim Ali Khan impressed in a regal sherwani crafted from earthy gold katan silk, intricately embroidered with mirror work, resham, and zari. His poised walk and understated charm exuded princely elegance. Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan closed the show in a royal ensemble in rusty orange, hand-embroidered with Mishra’s signature mirror work, sequins, zari, and resham, accentuated with shimmering crystal fringes.
The collection itself was “celebratory, versatile, and deeply rooted in storytelling,” reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage and artisanal excellence. Prints ranged from watercolor washes and abstract motifs to geometric patterns and floral sketches, while embellishments like pearls, sequin dori, and kirkiri embroidery added depth and richness. Mishra’s signature mirror work and gota detailing shone across bridal lehengas, flowing anarkalis, and contemporary separates.
Making their runway debut together, Ibrahim and Sara’s natural chemistry set the perfect tone for the show.
The event took place on Saturday, October 4, amidst the lush gardens of Sanskriti Greens in Chattarpur, Delhi.
