JAMMU: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Youth Services and Sports, and Information Technology, Satish Sharma, today paid heartfelt tribute to BSF Constable Rajib Nunian, who laid down his life while performing his duties during floods along the International Boundary in the Paragwal Sector, Jammu, on August 27.
At a solemn wreath-laying ceremony held at Shaheed Smarak, BSF Frontier Headquarters, Paloura Camp, Jammu, the Minister honored the martyr by placing a floral wreath and expressed profound grief over the loss of the brave soldier.


Addressing the gathering, Satish Sharma said, “Constable Rajib Nunian exhibited extraordinary courage and unwavering dedication in the face of adversity. His supreme sacrifice in safeguarding the nation’s border will forever remain in our collective memory. He upheld the highest traditions of the Force, and the country will always remain indebted to his bravery.”
The Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the martyr’s family and assured them of full support from the Government. He emphasized that Constable Nunian’s sacrifice will continue to inspire the youth of Jammu & Kashmir and across the country to uphold the values of duty, courage, and patriotism.
Senior BSF officers, civil administration officials, and members of civil society also participated in paying homage to the fallen hero.
