JAMMU: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, today visited Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu to check on the condition of those injured in the recent Kishtwar cloudburst.
Accompanied by Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal of GMC Jammu; Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, HoD Orthopaedics; Dr. Varinder Trisal, Medical Superintendent; and senior administrative officials, the Minister interacted with the patients and their attendants, expressing solidarity and wishing them a swift recovery.
He directed the hospital authorities to provide state-of-the-art medical care, timely interventions, and round-the-clock attention for all the injured. Satish Sharma also instructed medical teams to remain vigilant and extend every possible assistance, emphasizing that the UT administration is committed to supporting those affected by the tragedy.
The Minister lauded the doctors, paramedics, and hospital staff for their dedicated efforts in managing the emergency and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to stand by the people during this challenging time.
