SRINAGAR: Security forces on Monday foiled a major terror attempt by detecting and destroying an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The explosive, suspected to have been planted by terrorists, was found during a routine patrol along a roadside in the Heff area, they added.
A bomb disposal squad was immediately rushed to the spot, which safely neutralized the device, preventing any loss of life or property, officials confirmed.
